Viatel acquires connectivity service provider WiFiber

The Viatel Group, Ireland’s leading independent provider of connectivity, cloud and security solutions, has today announced the acquisition of Wifiber Limited.

Wifiber is a business and residential broadband connectivity service provider based in Co. Wicklow, bringing a top class service to both business and residential customers across the east coast region. In addition, Wifiber serves key business segments and counts The National Concert Hall, DLR County Council, EastCoast FM, RTE and CRH amongst its business customers. Wifiber has a strong position providing connectivity services to the Events Industry, working with many of Irelands leading Event and Festival teams and contributors, including the National Ploughing Championships, Bloom, the Aviva Stadium, Electric Picnic, Longitude and Body & Soul festivals.

While the financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, post-acquisition the Viatel Group revenues are forecasted to exceed €65 million in 2022.
